After years of being a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, it seemed natural for Nancy to segue into Yoga. Around the year 2000, she obtained the requisit certificates to teach yoga in her classes and to her clients. After years of studying and training in different Yoga disciplines, she is currently working on the completion of her 200 Hour RYT with YogaFit. “I don’t make decisions lightly! Because of the time and expense involved, I researched all of the 200 hour trainings and finally came back to the one that first got me interested 15 years ago! I love that although we learn Sanskrit names for the poses, we do not use them during our classes. Although you won’t find chanting, breathing correctly is an integral part of our practice! I take the elements of what I consider the best components of the different Yoga philosophies that I have studied and design my classes in a practical, user friendly format which is accessible, understandable and doable by individuals of any level of fitness. Any size or shape, any fitness level – no judgements here – everybody has to start somewhere! My fitness background has really helped in my ability to assist with any modifications you may need.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to teach in this beautiful space I truly appreciate the opportunity I have been given to share Yoga with you here!
Nancy has lived in Cranberry for almost 30 years – she and her husband have raised 2 daughters – an occupational therapist and a speech therapist. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking and reading.
