Jim Donovan While the Body Heals, sound healing retreat at The Center of Harmony

Live Immersion with Jim Donovan M.Ed.

Brand New Experience for 2020!

“There is no organ system in the human body that’s not affected by sound…and vibration” – Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, Director of Oncology for Weill Cornell Medical College

Life can be intense and draining –especially if you are regularly stressed out. If ignored, excess stress can mean serious trouble for your health.

The good news is that your body has built-in ways to boost your health safely and naturally –you’ve probably just never been shown how.

I created “The Whole Body – Sound Healing Retreat” to teach you how to use sound healing in your everyday life for better health –and to offer you a deeply immersive day-retreat experience.

I aim to help you leave the experience feeling alive, refreshed, connected with yourself –and empowered with a system you can use daily to keep your health improving.

Beginners are warmly welcomed.

During the experience we’ll engage in a carefully designed itinerary that includes:

  • Discovering (and using) the ‘super-power’ living in right in your neck
  • Audio-assisted immersive sound bath meditations
  • Brain protection exercises
  • Energizing, life-force building techniques
  • Time to contemplate

What can sound healing do for you?

  • Improve your overall resilience to stress.
  • Gain quick mental clarity.
  • Heighten your cognitive abilities
  • Get deep, restful sleep.
  • Prepare your brain to be at its best.
  • Offer you access to increased depth in prayer and meditation.

What symptoms can sound healing help to relieve (according to peer-reviewed research)?

  • High blood pressure
  • Chronic pain
  • Depression
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Inflammation
  • Improved heart rate variability
  • Headaches, neck, shoulder pain

The environment of all my events are welcoming and zero pressure. You’re encouraged to do only what feels most comfortable for you and to take breaks when needed.

You’ll experience the camaraderie of a safe, supportive and friendly group of people where you can just be yourself- without the worry of being “good” at music.

“I just spent my first workshop with Jim. It won’t be my last. I didn’t have any preconceived ideas about what would be happening. Good thing because I never would have conjured it to be as fabulous as it was! It’s not about the drumming so if you have any curiosity but no drumming experience, don’t let that keep you away. In practical ways for everyone, at your own choosing, Jim gifted us with an experience—a beginning, a middle, and an amazing end—that enabled us to transcend into our next best version of ourselves. Thank you!” -Jacke Schroeder

You can can expect:

  • A clear purpose
  • Actionable steps
  • Easy to understand explanations of the science supporting the techniques
  • Activities to do and feel
  • Supplemental material to use at home (via email after the experience)
  • Inspiration to go further
  • To laugh quite a bit
  • Social connection opportunities

Please bring: a lunch, a yoga mat, blanket and pillow or seat cushion.
