Fun for Funds
02/26/2016 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
When’s the last time you had a fun night out for just $20?? Im hosting Fun for Funds. It’s a game night for grown ups for a good cause!
On Sunday, May 1st I will run a half marathon as part of the Pittsburgh Marathon. Having been a spectator for the Boston Marathon my entire life, being on the other side is extremely exciting for me, especially one in my new “home”
in lieu of a registestration fee, I joined Andrew McCutchen’s team (Cutch’s Crew) to raise funds for various organizations. He supports the same sort of organizations I do so it seemed a perfect fit for me, especially having team support! Organizations like
• Children’s Hospital
• Community Kitchen Pittsburgh
• Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council
• Habitat for Humanity
• Homeless Children’s Educational Fund
• Light of Life Mission
• Pittsburgh Promise
• Pirates Charities (specifically for the Fields for Kids program)
Fundraising is hard these days. There is so much need in the world and its hard to choose when and who to help. Thats why I chose a game night. Its simple, and its FUN! Im hoping to reach and surpass my goal without having to pressure people. Im hoping to do so in a way that we ALL have a great time participating and making a difference in the world with our efforts!
