SuMa Integrative Medicine and Medical Acupuncture

Originally from West Virginia, Dr. Davis studied at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also did a Fellowship teaching Anatomy to medical students for two years.  Because of her integrative approach and passion for Osteopathic Medicine, she received numerous scholastic awards, including Student DO of the Year in 1998.

She did her Osteopathic Intern year at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV.  She then completed a five year combined residency program in Internal & Emergency Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, where she also served as Chief Resident her final year.

While practicing Emergency/Urgent Care medicine, it became apparent to her that numerous medical conditions, not to mention people’s lives, could be positively impacted by a different approach towards their health and healing.   Patients are not a series of lists, diseases or labels, but unique human beings, with a unique truth/story.  This truth inspired Dr. Davis to further her own education and create her own practice focusing on Medical Acupuncture, Medical Qigong and Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Davis has the unique ability to combine the practicality of Western Medicine with the wisdom of Eastern Medicine

Wunderbar Coffee House

Our new coffee house will be called Wunderbar, aligning ourselves with the German heritage of Harmony, we want to blend in with this beautiful town! Our objective is to create a creatively stimulating space that offers an intriguing, engaging and enlightening environment with an atmosphere that encourages conversation, where people of all ages can enjoy a good cup of coffee or tea with some light snacks while having a good time with friends or family. There will be notepads, games, puzzles and many other trinkets along with free wifi for our patrons to play with while they are there. We are also planning on creating “themed nights” to bring together people with similar interests, for example “Teachers night”. We want every patron to leave with a smile, feeling inspired and with a desire to come back, as if Wunderbar was their third home.

Initially our hours will be 5 to 9pm so we can keep our jobs until business increases, adding morning hours and eventually being open all day. We will only serve regular, decaf and flavored coffee and loose leaf teas to start out. As far as food we would like to start with pastries, bagels and toast, which we plan to purchase from the local baker.

Wunderbar will offer high quality, safely prepared products purchased from local vendors and will follow sustainable practices by using compostable and biodegradable materials. We want to promote a healthy, holistic lifestyle, in line with what all businesses in The Center of Harmony will offer.

Wunderbar is owned and operated by Rahmat and Vicky Dornbrook of Zelienople.

Hours:

Tuesday – Friday  5pm to 9pm
Saturday                  9am to 2pm
